Presentation Zen was the first book I read about presentation design. It offers a new approach to designing your (power point) slides. It explores the principles of “less is more” (simplicity). Using visuals – especially full scale pictures – in contrast to an array of bullet points on each slide. The basic idea is to remove the clutter from the slides and use simple yet striking visuals. Furthermore, Reynolds explains when it is important to use analog (=without your computer) techniques and when to start up Power Point. The book is rich on sample slides and same complete examples of great presentations. In one of the last chapters Reynolds gives his thoughts and experiences on the delivery of a presentation.
